I was born in Japan in 1973. I grew up in the nature and enjoyed adventures. I graduated with 2 degrees and 3 majors in economics, statistics, and biological science in 3.5 years. I undertook a 18,000 km bicycle trip in Australia and backpacked in developing countries, as well. Then, I was chosen for the Oxford Kobe scholarship -- 1 of 3 scholars selected from about 300 applicants to study at the University of Oxford. After completing my DPhil/PhD from Oxford, I worked at the Stockholm Environment Institute. Between 2010 and 2013, I worked for JICA to support Indonesia on climate change.
The name of this blog is coming from my blog I started during my Oxford era.
